Heart Smart Foods (HSF) is a health and specialty food distributor, incorporated in 1990 and located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
We are a family-owned company, with fewer than 10 employees, that prides itself on speedy order turn around and great customer service! When you phone us during regular business hours, you’ll get a real person on the other end of the line, not just a message or a phone tree!
Heart Smart Foods main customer base is in Western Canada, with a prominent focus on Alberta and British Columbia. That said, we have customers across the country, including as far away as the Maritimes. If there’s a truck that goes there, we’ll ship there!
Our Products
Heart Smart Foods sells a variety of healthful foods and our products cater to a number of food sensitivities and allergies. We have searched the globe for good things to eat. While we give first priority to local and Canadian goods, we do carry a variety of products from all over the world. We have approximately 70 brands in total. Everything we carry has to have a health qualifier such as organic, non-gmo, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, sugar-free, keto, salt-free, dairy-free, natural colours, no preservatives, etc.
Although we supply numerous products that cater to dietary restrictions, we specialize in gluten-free foods and carry a variety of gluten-free product lines including Kinnikinnick, Ener-G Foods, Enjoy Life, Glutino, Holgrain, Paneriso, Sunstart and Tinkyada to name a few.
